Beyond the Fall of Night
Have you ever think about how the earth is going to be million centuries later?
This science fiction, called "Beyond the Fall of Night" tells us the story of the earth's future, going beyond millions and millions of years.
After our people develope the technology to go further into the space, an unknown invaders came and almost destroyed our planet. Centuries passed, and Diaspar is the one last city. Outside the city is the never ending sea of sand. There is no water left. Diaspar is maintained by the intelligent computer that controlls everything. People never tries to take the risk and discover other remaining cities. They fear that the invaders might come again if they find them attempting to rise the earth once again. But for Alvin of Loronei, the first child born in Diaspar in 4,000 years, there is no barriers. With the aid of the recorder, Rorden, Alvin escapes the suffocating closeness of the known world. When he finds another inhabited city, Lys, on the far side of the planet, he realize that two cities were ignoring each other purposely. The terror that the return of life in earth may attract the invaders again.
Now Alvin must lead the cities to reunite in order to salvage the earth.
